Establishment of a higher quality management system
The company
An internationally active Austrian mechanical engineering company with mechanical and electronic products. The company has 900 employees and produces at 9 locations in Europe.
The situation
The company has been ISO 9001 certified for over 20 years. The improvement processes are laborious and the current quality team is not sufficiently recognized.
The requirements and expectations
The QM should provide impulses for the company. Improvement processes should be carried out with a recognized
QM team must be implemented. Customer complaints must be reduced.
My task
I took over the task from a colleague from the management. My many years of experience in QM should enable the implementation.
The solution
A new, highly motivated QM manager was recruited. The proven experts worked with the new manager to set up a program with all facets. The focus of the program was to support manufacturing for process-safe production. Process management was developed and implemented for the entire organization. The CIP was linked to lean management.
The sustainable corporate benefit
Customer complaints have fallen dramatically because systematic sources of error were eliminated immediately and amicably. Regular improvements are now being made through audits and continuous improvement. The improvements have been proven to increase productivity.
